Jamie's Summer Wrap-Up: Hair, Nails & Skincare for Fall

Jamie's Summer Wrap-Up: Hair, Nails & Skincare for Fall

My Summer Wrap-Up is more than a list of products, it’s a reflection on the season. Summer always gives me a chance to slow down with long days, unexpected conversations, and crossing paths with people who happily share the little things that make a big difference. A trick from a colorist, the perfect polish combo, the product that saves your skin in the heat. This year I tried a few new rituals, stuck with consistency, and found things I’ll carry into fall.

Now that life is getting super busy again with the grind of building a business, I am determined not to fall back into old habits. These are the discoveries that earned a permanent spot in my routine with no gatekeeping here.

Hair

This is the real update. While away from Austin, I was luckily introduced to Liz Jung and she is a QUEEEEEN. She completely revived my blonde and gave me the trick that changed everything. Before adding bleach, Liz applied men’s hair wax to my front pieces. Why? To prevent breakage. And it works. Just yesterday I was back with the Austin Queen of Blonde and she did the same thing. Voila, no breakage today.

For blondes this is a game changer. The rest of my routine includes Milbon Shampoo and Conditioner to keep my hair glossy between washes and Epres Bond Repair Treatment as my go-to repair. Sorry Olaplex, Epres has entered the chat.

Nails

Consistency was my summer word. I have always had short, weak nails, but this season I stayed on top of manicures. I switched to an almond shape and found my winning combo: one coat Funny Bunny and two coats Bubble Bath. The real secret is Japanese Gel. Holy smokes!

Skincare

I wash with ERLY Face Foam, then layer serums from thin to thick. Daily Dew all over, then Start ERLY Moisturizer mixed with Ilia Face Milk. It is the perfect hydrating base, topped with Jones Road Tinted Moisturizer in Beige to even things out without feeling like makeup. When I want definition, it is Kulfi Tubing Mascara, the one that lasts all day but rinses off with just warm water.

At night I reset with Face Foam, then use ERLY Night Cream mixed with a little A313. It is my reset button and I wake up with calm, smooth skin. For body care, I finally committed to Nécessaire Body Retinol, especially on my knees, and it is one habit I am sticking with. My scent has not changed either: Bo by Liis. Clean, soft, subtle. It smells like sunshine and transitions seamlessly into fall.

Wellness

Summer always reminds me how good the little rituals feel. The kind I wish I could keep up with all year. Catherine Esposito’s facials deliver legendary results, instant glow, and the kind of skin that makes you skip makeup for days. IYKYK!!  And I cant forget to mention: The Erickson Method lymphatic massage. Alex’s technique is unlike anything else. I walk in tired and puffy and leave lighter, sculpted, and completely reset. It is more than a massage. It feels like a full body reset button.

Summer Wrap-up

Looking back, this summer was not about chasing trends or adding more. It was about consistency. Regular manicures, sticking to body care, protecting my hair from breakage, keeping a skincare routine I actually enjoy. These are not just summer habits, they are things I will carry into fall.

The grind of building a business is back in full swing. Life speeds up, calendars fill, and free time feels scarce. But if summer taught me anything, it is that making space for these small rituals both beauty and wellness pays off. They are the reset moments I can take with me even as the season shifts.
